Nina Flauaus, Darmstadt
born in 1971
Studying communication-design in Darmstadt and working for the Fraunhofer
Institut, Darmstadt in the field of virtual reality. Working as a freelance
photodesigner after passing her diploma.
Her works have been used by Allegra, Art, Brigitte, Brigitte young miss,
chrismon, Econy, FAZ.net, FR-Magazin, Max, Maxi, Spiegel, kulturSpiegel,
uniSpiegel, Stern, Zeit/Leben. Focus on people-/ reportage-photography. Since
2001 BFF-Junior-member.
CLINIC
In this series I tried to show fears and feelings that appear in extreme
situations. The extreme situation in this case is the state between life and
death, between awakening and fading into a narcotic state. The series has been
made for the “Zeit”-magazine “Leben” and illustrates
the report of a lung-cancer-patient.
