Richard Schubert, Berlin
Born in Hof in 1960.
Studied physics in Grenoble and Bayreuth and got scholarships from the DAAD,
the French government and the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung. Obtained his doctorate
at the Max-Planck-Institute for Plasmaphysics in Garching and worked as a
scientist for Siemens AG in Munich for the next five years.
In recent years he has been interested in digital photography and other
depicting processes and developed his own technique for the regular production of
three-dimensional images.
Ess-Art The licorices were depicted in this 3D-technique. When composing, Richard
Schubert focused on a harmonic symbiosis of depth and colors. This technique
has the unusual effect of reflections on plane surfaces without shades in the
background, which gives the motive plastic appearance.
